This morning, I was on my face in prayer, when God showed me a vision of the true us – a vision of the true people he created. My wife and I were standing before God, and we looked beautiful. Fit, vibrant and alive, no fat, no pain, perfect human specimens. When I realized I was in fact looking at “us”, God let me know that this is how He sees us – through the blood of Jesus Christ. We are seen as the people He created without the taint of sin. I have often heard that from people and read it in the Bible, but actually being allowed the privilege of seeing it first hand, and realizing that it was made possible through Christ, and realizing even more deeply what that sacrifice accomplished made the scripture all the more real to me. Of course it goes without saying that I wept and wept while realizing these things. Look at what God has done – it is amazing.
