First, take a look at and just read it. Here is the text from the NLT, but I assure you, it says the same thing in whatever translation you want to use.
Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

I have heard sermons mention the healing of the nations, but I never remembered that in the end of Revelations we get a picture of two trees of life. So I asked God, what’s with the two trees? I received an image of the trees and the crystal clear water coming down from the throne. The trees represented the testaments and then there was Christ (the living water) separating them. What a picture, a tree of life in Genesis where we were created for fellowship, which we were denied through our choice to live outside the perfect will of God. With the law being given to point us to Christ, followed by the revelation of Christ through His incarnation on Earth (the living water, the Word made flesh), then after His death and resurrection and re-ascendance to heaven, we have the bulk of the new testament which also represents another tree of life (for the healing of the nations). So the living water (Christ, and/or the Holy Spirit) flows from the throne of God between the tree from the beginning and the tree from the end and those trees produce fruit from every tribe in every season and their leaves (the pages of the Bible) are for the healing of the nations. Wow. Pretty exciting stuff for me.
