Went out on Sunday September 20th with several other artists. Arrived at the Ambrose Carson River Natural Area around 10:30 and hiked around to find a good spot to paint. Started this view at 10:45 and finished at 2:42 which is about an hour longer than usual. I really enjoyed the partially cloudy skies with constant changing patterns typical of Northern Nevada. Can’t wait for the fall leaf color changing to begin in earnest, right now it seems localized to a few trees around the city turning red and a couple of the larger trees getting spots of yellow. hoping to paint through it all and into the winter – weather permitting.
