Mike and I were sitting in front of the Starbucks on College Parkway and Highway 395 (not to be confused with the Starbucks on the corner of College Parkway and N. Carson St.). I had some water color, and just threw down a background. Then I proceeded to pencil sketch and use gouache. Mike was sitting in front of me creating some of his steam-punk style jewelry from found objects, so he became my subject by default. I gave this portrait to him after the art show in late April of 2012.
